Visa reason code 12.1 has been retired. You should no longer receive chargebacks with this reason code.
This reason code was originally used for late presentment — processing a transaction after Visa’s allotted time limit.
Now, if a chargeback is disputed because of late presentment, the issuer will use Visa reason code 11.3 – No Authorization/Late Presentment.
