DEFINITION
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Platform
Glossary / Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Platform
A customer relationship management (CRM) platform is software used to keep track of interactions with current and potential customers. It can store purchase history, communication logs, support tickets, customer lifecycle stages, and more. CRMs are often integrated with payment systems to facilitate vital activities such as capturing customer information, fulfilling orders, issuing refunds, and managing chargebacks.
Some CRMs incorporate additional payment technologies such as payment gateways and payment processors. Other times, CRMs are used as stand-alone products that integrate with other platforms as part of a comprehensive tech stack.
AltoPay has a direct integration with dozens of different CRMs, giving merchants the ability to process payments with whatever platform suits their needs.
