A dynamic billing descriptor is the descriptive (and customizable) text that appears on a cardholder’s bank or card statement to explain a transaction. Unlike a static descriptor, which stays the same for all of your processed transactions, a dynamic descriptor can change based on product, billing model, brand, business location, campaign, etc. This helps clarify what the customer purchased and where, especially if your business has multiple sub-brands or service tiers. Dynamic descriptors are often formatted with a business name followed by a brief keyword or order code.
